nisi f3 review

I have the first version MD I with the inscription Rokkor. Good review. That is really a big mistake by my carelessness. My top 3 lenses are now Sigma Super Wide II 24mm, this Minolta, and the CZJ 135mm 3.5 Sonnar. The Minolta X-700 has the older fully manual SR-mount, not A-mount. f/11: The center is a little less sharp, only the very last few pixels of the corners are unsharp. These cookies do not store any personal information. LA-EA3. At 35mm 98% of the image is very sharp but the far corners deteriorate noticeably. sergr. could you suggest a adapter for this lens ? Thank you Marc for your review. -Minolta 70-210 f4 beercan – recently bought with a simple AF-E mount adapter For A-mount the LA-EA4 is the way to go. For build quality however, the MD I version is superior. And have possibility to try it tomorrow. Contrast is a bit lower. I used also capture one same story. Sam. Apparently they often suffer from disintegrated bearings so I was a little hesitant to buy one. A very good lens to have. I want to learn the full capabilities of this lens. Flare resistance is better than I expected from a 1980’s zoom lens. It is completely metal made (except for the glass) and the focusing and zooming are very smooth. The following two tabs change content below. As mentioned in the alternatives section, do you think you’ll ever review the Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar 3,4/35 – 70 mm or is the minolta cheaper and nearly as good? Are you Using edge enhancement in addition to deconvolution to sharpen your photos? The filter thread is made from metal and the front element does turn when the lens is focused. For street /architecture you gain some corners sharpness if you close at F5.6, Very reliable AF , very nice colors straight out of the camera, The Sigma 24mm F3.5 DG DN Contemporary (530 euros) is a special lens designed for heavy duty job on the field (reportage, street, shoot under the rain…). I have just picked up a second type lens in mint condition and shall look forward to using it.Your examples are excellent/Paul. 0 Zeiss 100mm makro planar f/2, fringing and f stop advice ... Nisi … It is made from plastic, feels solid enough and attaches firmly to the lens. There is some contrast loss when a bright light source is in the image but the images remain usable with minor processing, I have seen much worse. I seem to be getting a lot of ghosting with the K&F MD adapter at 40 to 60mm is really bad 70mm is a bit better and 35mm no issue. And if there is a noticeable filed curvature I mention it, I had a tamron 24 (051) Strong field curvature and the viewing angle does not correspond to 24mm. this minolta 35-70 macro fuction only works at 70mm or it can be used all the way from 35 to 70mm? Les coins sont à la traine à pleine ouverture, l’optimum sera atteint à F5.6 ce qui sera parfait pour du reportage ou de la photographie de rue, The competitor for the Sigma 24mm F3.5 DG DN (540 euros) are mainly the Tamron 24mm F2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 (F051) (450 euros) and the Samyang 24mm F2.8 AF (300 euros), Le Sigma 35mm F2 DG DN (530 euros) doit se comparer aux 2 autres 24 mm compact avec AF que sont les Tamron 24mm F2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 (F051) (450 euros) et le Samyang 24mm F2.8 AF (300 euros), From a specifications perspective the Sigma the most expensive with the slowest aperture , it is the heaviest. -Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS – portrait Comment document.getElementById("comment").setAttribute( "id", "af78fd38c855c5dd23736fc16ada8208" );document.getElementById("h666316870").setAttribute( "id", "comment" ); Necessary cookies are absolutely essential for the website to function properly. No, I don’t have any experience with FD zooms in that focal range. In the center it is hard to tell the difference. Since they are both Minolta MDs, would a simple A-mount to FE mount work? Even after correcting the distortion for tamron, it still turned out to be closer to 21mm than to 24mm. Customers should note that these are formal Court forms and are provided in PDF format in order to preserve the layout of the original document. ), I think most of your questions are answered in the review. For this I really apreciate your work, this is my favorite blog at the moment. In my experience they degrade the image quality a lot and I would advise against them. Good review sir, I own this lens too and use it with Sony A7, the one with macro mode. The original hood is rather small and protects the front element without adding too much size. I would be very surprised if that Minolta was any better than the cheaper kit lens. Difficult to use for my sunsets and sunrises, rather pronounced flare. But the Pentax K35-105 is made of metal and thus is very heavy, about more than 800g maybe. So globally the build quality is higher than the Sigma Art serie or Sony GM , they feel like Zeiss Legacy lenses or Voigtländer APO Lanthar lenses, The lens is equipped with a click only aperture ring that can also be switched to A= Auto mode to be controlled by the body. In comparison with “modern ” lenses I think a plasticky feeling is not the problem here. Thank you, so is there any use for it at all ?? and if yes i need an adapter ? It offers very reliable performance , excellent ergonomics in a very compact size and is very discrete if you work in a unsafe place, with very good results straight out of the camera and very good soft background blur for close shots (min focusing distance <11cm), It is not a lens for the casual shooter that will prefer the Tamron 24mm F2.8 (450 euros) that offer a better aperture and better sharpness on 61Mpix and a bit more creative possibility thanks to it F2.8 aperture but with not at all the same build quality and ergonomics, Le Sigma 24mm F3.5 DG DN Contemporary (530 Euros) est une optique destiné au reportage dans les conditions difficiles. Hello, Did you use a tripod when taking those macro shots with the NEX? the field of view would be different and the image will be less sharp in the center but a tad better in the corners at 35mm. -Sigma 19mm f/2.8 dn art – commons landscapes not very wide the macro only works at 35mm. The lens has 7 straight aperture blades. Ghosting is very well controlled. Phillip, I found this lens with my father’s old Minolta X-700 and I’m excited to use it with my new Alpha 7 II, but I’m also interested in picking up the 80-200mm “Beer Can” Minolta. It offers very reliable performance , excellent ergonomics in a very compact size and is very discrete if you work in a unsafe place, with very good results straight out of the camera and very good soft background blur for close shots, It is not a lens for the casual shooter that will prefer the, (450 euros) that offer a better aperture and better sharpness on 61Mpix and a bit more creative possibility thanks to it F2.8 aperture but with not at all the same build quality and ergonomics, Excellent to outstanding centre shaprness, Optimal results centre to corners achieved at F5.6, Compact , discrete and light (even if more heavy than competitors), Distorsion entirely corrected in built in profile, Moderate level of CA (but better than the Tamron and Samyang), Vignetting at F3.5 that does not disappear completely at F8, Magnetic lens cap is a good idea but is not compatible with the lens hood. Just Picked up a Pentax 35-105, F3.5 (often referred to as a stack of primes)to compare to this lens and the Pentax seems to be a good bit better at 35 and the same at 70….. You will certainly have a narrower field of view (50-100mm eqivalent). After seeing your shots with the same lens on the A7, I’m very excited to try this out.
