International Customs Day International Customs Day is celebrated on January 26 every year, commemorates the day in 1953 when the inaugural session of the Customs Cooperation Council (CCC) was held in Brussels, Belgium by the World Customs Organization (WCO). HM Revenue & Customs, HM Treasury, Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, Border Force, Office of Tax Simplification, and The Scottish Government. The consumer movement first marked that date in 1983 and now uses the day every year to mobilise action on important issues and campaigns.
